I am overjoyed to tell you that my first cookbook Fresh from the Farmhouse is now available in the US! This last year and a half of working on the book has been a true labor of love. I have wanted to be an author since middle school and this moment really feels like a bit of a dream come true.

What is in it?
Fresh from the Farmhouse is a book full of memorable dinner recipes that are rooted in tradition and heritage. There are more than 60 recipes in the cookbook and they are categorized by protein groups. There is a section for chicken, beef and pork. Then there are also sections for soups and recipes that are garden fresh – meaning they are vegetable based. Lastly, there is an accompaniments section where I share a recipe for homemade pasta, my favorite bread and a couple of side dishes that are perfect to go with any of the main dish recipes. Someone asked my to pick a favorite and I honestly cannot do that. I love so many of these recipes, and I truly hope you do too.
Who inspired it?
Fresh from the Farmhouse was truly inspired by my grandmothers. For me, cooking has always been an act of love and a away to show my family that I loved them. Both of my grandmothers gave me different elements and flavors to appreciate when it came to making a meal. They always made it special, whether it was a random Saturday night, unplanned dinner at my Grandma Leah’s house or a more formal Sunday evening dinner at Grandma Char’s house.
Additionally, Fresh from the Farmhouse was also inspired by my farm. This little 7-acre slice of land has truly become home for our former suburban family. It is a place and a life we cherish and I hope our farmhouse remains in our family for generations to come.
